Clinical Massage, also referred to as Medical Massage is a term used to describe massage therapy, that focuses on a specific outcome or goal. Some clients come with a referral or prescription from their doctor, but many more come to manage their chronic pain, recover from injury or surgery, or maintain their mental health with relaxation techniques.
No. You do not need a referral to receive treatment. Some insurance companies may provide coverage for medically necessary massage with a physician’s diagnosis and referral. We cannot process medical claims without your physician’s diagnoses including the frequency and duration of treatments.  Â
With or without a physician’s referral, we will treat your musculoskeletal pain directly and develop a treatment plan to help you meet your individual goals.
After reaching the goals of your Treatment Plan, we highly encourage a maintenance schedule. Maintenance is encouraged in order to help maintain the quality of life that the treatment phase enabled.Â
Maintenance requirements are different for everyone. Some clients achieve pain-free maintenance periods of once-a-month, some as frequent as once-a-week! Your therapist will communicate with you and help you discover what is right for you.
